As a member of the Toon Goons Art team, you’ll bring smiles, laughter, and creativity to thousands of fairgoers this summer.

Your work will focus on live, retail caricature art, creating fun and personalized cartoon portraits for guests visiting our booth at the PNE. You’ll capture each guest’s unique look and personality in a quick, playful, and engaging way - all while providing a memorable experience they’ll take home with them.

In addition to drawing, you’ll help maintain an inviting, professional booth space and may assist with basic retail tasks such as:

• Promoting add-ons (like frames or travel tubes)
  
• Handling cash or digital payments
  
• Keeping your workspace clean and organized
  

Schedule:
Shifts will take place throughout the PNE’s operating hours (11am to 10pm), from August 16th to September 1st, 2026, with flexibility around your availability.

Artistic skills:

Required:

• Proficient to high-level drawing ability. (Note: All applicants will be required to submit a portfolio or samples of their artwork that showcase their artistic abilities.)

Valued but not required:

• Portrait drawing or caricature experience. (Don’t worry if you’ve never drawn a caricature before - Toon Goons Art provides a weeklong, paid caricature training to prospective applicants!)
• Experience drawing from life.
• Understanding of human facial anatomy.
• Ability to draw quickly without sacrificing quality.

• Applicants must be at least 16 years of age or older.
• Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants must be able to stand for extended periods of time, as the role involves working on your feet for prolonged durations during events or retail shifts.

• Applications must be located in or around Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area.

As a member of the Toon Goons Art team, you’ll capture the magic of our artists in action, recording content at events where live caricatures are being drawn. You will work closely with one of our artists to film real-time caricature creation, creating engaging social media content that showcases our art and entertains our audience.

Our team will provide opportunities to film at private events, which you can choose to accept or decline based on your availability. You will help highlight our artists’ work and contribute to our brand’s online presence through high-quality videography.

Technical skills:

• Videography experience, particularly in capturing live events.

• Ability to travel to multiple event locations.
